Directed by Wes Ball and written by Josh Friedman, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the fourth installment in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise and standalone sequel to War for the Planet of the Apes (2017). It is also the tenth Planet of the Apes film overall. Set several generations in the future following Caesar's reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows, a new tyrannical ape leader (Kevin Durand) builds his empire.
