How Government Built This: Methods of Mentorship
Manage episode 365996100 series 2910996
We're back with a new season of How Government Built This! This year, our theme is "Strengthening and Empowering our People and Culture", and we'll be looking at how applying the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) can promote innovation within an organization.
This week, our returning host is Javier Inclan, who interviews his colleague Migdalia Gonzalez about her perspective on mentorship. Together, they discuss what makes a good mentor, why mentorship is valuable for both the teacher and the student, and how to cultivate a broader culture of mentorship in an organization as a whole.
Javier serves as the Assistant Inspector General for Management and CIO of the Office of Inspector General at the National Science Foundation.
Migdalia serves as the Hispanic Employment Program Manager in the Office of Civil Rights at the Federal Aviation Association (FAA).
