Rolling Loud Toronto rapper, Paris Richards, sits down with Brooklyn Tea Talk on WorldWide Entertainment TV for most in depth interview ever. The artist known as "The Queen Of The 6ix" defends her status with the crown by detailing why she reigns supreme over the other female rappers in Toronto.
She speaks on growing up in the Falstaff community on the Jane Strip and how it was emotional for her to do the visuals for "I Got You" in her old stomping grounds. Richards was able to acquire the "R&B Queen Of Canada," Jully Black to collaborate on the single and she says "she's an entire vibe and one of the most amazing people I ever met."
Jully Black recently performed at Drake's OVO Fest All Canadian Northstars event. Paris Richards stated the experience as "so natural and literally meant to be," and Jully Black told her she would never lose and it eventually became apart of the hook.
Richards also reveals that she has something in the works with the Urban Music Queen of Canada, Michie Mee, as she recently was in the studio with the legendary groundbreaking Canadian artist. The Toronto rapper also stated she would love to work with other iconic artists such as Kardinal Offishall and Melanie Durrant.
Discussion arose concerning the hotly debated topic of who the "Queen Of The 6ix" is for hip hop today. The usual suspects include Golde London, Chromazz, and Paris Richards as illustrated by Gems Life vlogger below.
The hip hop artist bluntly stated why she wears the crown and says she started her own wave and was given the title by her American fans during her many visits across the border. Check out the interview above.
