The US is a great market for real estate investing, but there are some things to be aware of if you are from Canada. Alain Forget shares his experience with how Canadians can buy in the USA and in Florida as well as different strategies that work well. He also talks about loan-to-value and interest rates in the US as well as the difference between ownership structures in the US and Canada.

Alain is the Director and Head of Sales and U.S. Business Development and has been working for Royal Bank Financial Group for over 42 years, holding various business and sales leadership roles in Canada, the Caribbean, and the U.S. He is passionate about helping Canadians purchase U.S. homes and works closely with consumers, real estate professionals and other strategic partners to provide education and opportunity to Canadian buyers in the U.S. Alain is a licensed real estate agent in Florida and has his NAR CIPS designation (Certified International Property Specialist) He holds a degree in Finance / Management/Investment.
