Good morning, weather watchers! This is your Wednesday morning forecast for Washington District of Columbia, coming to you hot and fresh from the National Weather Service.
Let's dive right into this meteorological rollercoaster we've got brewing for the next few days!
Tonight, we're looking at rain with temperatures dipping down to a chilly 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be calm, but expect some precipitation that'll barely kiss the ground at less than a tenth of an inch.
Thursday brings more rain, mainly before 7 in the morning. We'll see temperatures climbing to a mild 52 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will start light and variable, then shift northwest at 6 to 11 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 22 miles per hour. Expect another light sprinkle of less than a tenth of an inch.
Thursday night clears up, with temperatures dropping to a crisp 26 degrees Fahrenheit. Those northwest winds will persist at 8 to 11 miles per hour.
Friday looks sunny and cool, with a high near 39 degrees Fahrenheit and northwest winds at 6 to 9 miles per hour.
The weekend gets interesting! Saturday afternoon might bring a rain and snow mix, with temperatures around 42 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday warms up to a soggy 60 degrees Fahrenheit with continuous rain.
By Washington's Birthday, we're looking at a sunny day with temperatures around 37 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next week starts mostly sunny with temperatures hovering in the mid-30s, and there's even a chance of snow by Wednesday.
