Good morning, Atlanta! This is your weather update for Thursday, February 13th, bringing you all the atmospheric drama you can handle.
Buckle up for a wild weather ride! We've got a Flood Watch and Hazardous Weather Outlook in effect, so let's break down what Mother Nature has planned.
Overnight, expect showers playing a game of tag with potential thunderstorms before 5 in the morning. Temperatures will hover steady around 49 degrees Fahrenheit with a gentle east wind around 5 miles per hour. We're looking at about a quarter to half an inch of rainfall, so keep those umbrellas close.
Thursday morning starts with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 am. The day will be mostly cloudy with temperatures climbing to a mild 57 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be blowing northwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour - so maybe secure those lightweight lawn decorations!
