Richard Foord is an army veteran having served for 10 years as an army officer in the Adjutant Generals Corps (ETS Branch). Essentially, he was an army teacher, and served on an operational tour of the Balkans during this time.
He talks about his struggle to find a purpose after leaving the army, as well as what drove him to stand up and serve again.
He is the Lib Dems spokesman on Defence, so unsurprisingly we explore this during the episode.
