A People So Bold?
Manage episode 346367225 series 2628335
For all the acknowledged heroes and martyrs in Unitarian Universalism's history, if one is willing to make an honest effort to learn more, one can find what Rev. Dave refers to as a "flip side." Prominent people, who self identified as Unitarians or Universalists, some of them very powerful elected officials, who made people's lives more miserable through their misuse of power.
And thus the questions: What is the real history of Unitarian Universalism’s quest for justice in the world? Are there histories that make us uncomfortable? How can we learn from our mistakes?
Piano accompaniment by Alex Pietsch. Intro and outro background music by Tim Moor at Pixabay.
