In this episode, I'm chatting with health and fitness competitor and coach, Kirstie George. Kirstie has set herself the mission to educate and support busy women to feel stronger, build confidence and lead happier healthy lifestyles. She became a personal trainer in 2018 after experiencing a life-changing event and following that, her own fitness journey. She was diagnosed with PTSD after experiencing two pregnancy losses and a traumatic second birth where she nearly lost her life. Understandably, her mental health was at rock bottom and she started suffering panic attacks, anxiety and depression, this is when she started lifting weights in hope that it would help with her mindset. Now, Kirstie feels strongly about helping women to feel empowered through health and fitness as previously, she had always been obsessed with fad diets, cardio and the number on the scales. She had yoyo dieted for years and never felt truly happy in her own skin, always looking for the “secret”. During this transformational time, she’s turned her pain into power by competing in four bikini competitions in nine months, turning herself into a pro athlete in two federations. Kirstie’s the author of "Build Habits for Women" and has recently been nominated for 'Most Motivational' Athlete of the Year at Pure Elite.
