Episode 105: The undertones in our entertainment/Would you buy your baby's mother a car?
Manage episode 312431925 series 3234782
We had to discuss some of the things we have noticed in some of the entertainment that is available.
I really like the new show Mike Epps is in titled "The Upshaws". But, I did notice a few things that were annoying me. I understand Mike Epps' character is supposed to be silly but, I don't like how the rest of the characters treat him like he's unintelligent. I like that the wife is a strong black woman but, I also wonder why they can’t be strong together. They don’t seem equal to me. Another thing I noticed is that a lot of the black people in these tv shows always have a small ass bed. Little things like that make me feel like we aren’t always portrayed accurately.
We also had a discussion about a man buying his babies mother a car. The ladies feel like you shouldn’t have to provide for someone you’re not involved with. I definitely agree. I personally feel like each parent should be able to hold their own when it comes to the child. But, I'm not against helping some one who is in need, and deserves assistance. Would you buy your baby's mother or baby's father a car? If they really deserved it?? Tune in.. Tell a Playa friend.
