Phyllis Chege, or as many, including myself, lovingly call her Shiko, in a Kenyan born former marketing executive and entrepreneur who emigrated to Germany in 2018. In the episode we delve into her passion for leadership development, specifically for Africans.

Speaking of which, the interview took place at the iconic, Hotel De Medici in Düsseldorf, Germany. Shiko had organized a summit for African leaders from across Sub Saharan Africa to share their learnings and growth through the program that is very close to both our hearts, Africa Kommt! As a participant myself, her vision of an impactful African led world became clear, and it will be very exciting to see her undoubtably carry it to fruition.

If not clear already, I admire this woman very much and feel very privileged to call her my dear friend. On a lighter note, we discuss navigating being an expat in Europe, getting lost on an Austrian trip together, cycling, her love for the Sound of Music, missing home, Kenya and much more. There is so much we did not cover, I have a strong feeling we will need a part II.

Enjoy the episode and would love to hear your thoughts as well through our You Tube channel by the same name, ‘The Expat Biography’. Link: [Podcast Extract] The world depends on African leadership. We spotlight her vision and execution. - YouTube
