Are you able to sit still with your own thoughts and be comfortable in your own skin? Are you truly thinking for yourself? When's the last time you were bored? Today on the Spiritual Spiral, I'm happy to welcome Health Advocate, Podcaster, Former Army Captain and Founder of Health Freedom for Humanity, Alec Zeck to the podcast. I discovered Alec over the last six months and I've been really struck and impressed by his approach and perspective on health and how he views the world. Alec and I touch on a myriad of important topics; finding balance, the mental and physical aspects of health, the value of meditation and sitting still and we talk about the impact the pandemic is having on the health community. We talk about tech, the impact of social media and how it impacts one's ability to critically think for themselves. He shares personal stories about his own childhood traumas and why he believes in a more holistic approach towards health. We talk about immune systems, vaccines and virology, auto-immune diseases, he shares stories about his experience in the army and we end the show by talking about the value of words and human to human connection. It's a powerful and heartfelt conversation that I'm still thinking about a week after speaking with him. You can find Alec on Twitter @alec_zeck or on Instagram @notaleczeck and if you enjoy today's episode and you want to support the show, please subscribe on iTUNES or consider sharing the show with your friends or head over to iTunes and write a quick review.
