Brenda van Straaten is the national director for Mercy Ships here in South Africa. We chat about Mercy Ships and the amazing work of their hospital ships in West Africa serving the poorest of the poor with life changing surgeries. Latest news is that the newest ship the Global Mercy has been completed and handed over to Mercy Ships. She will relieve her sister ship the Africa Mercy in West Africa. The Africa Mercy will then travel to South Africa for a refit.
