Asante K. Mendes, MD is a private practice adult psychiatrist providing consultative services to long term care facilities for 14 years throughout the state of Connecticut and treats a variety of conditions in his outpatient office. In addition to his thriving medical practice, Dr. Mendes is a husband and father of four who believes strongly in education and dialogue as critical vehicles for social justice. Dr. Mendes is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry, is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and received his graduate training at UConn and undergraduate degree from Howard University. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, skiing, traveling, dancing, painting and spending time with family.
