Madeleine Black is a wife and mom of three girls. She was gang raped at the tender age of thirteen and uses her personal story to motivate others. She chose to forgive the two men who gang raped her and chose to share her story.
Madeleine wants to end the shame, stigma, and silence surrounding sexual violence enabling others to find their voice, whatever their story is. She wants people to know that it's not what happens to us that is important but what we do with it.
Madeleine has been a speaker for Ted X twice, been featured in many news articles and on television in the U.K., she also has a podcast called " Unbroken The Podcast With Madeleine Black" where she is healing through story telling.
She is also the author of the book "Unbroken"
On the podcast we talk about her journey from being raped at thirteen, to meeting her husband when she was seventeen, why she knew she had to break her silence and speak out about her gang rape, trauma, and overcoming. We also spoke about her parenthood journey and the importance of talking to your children.
