What better week to talk about food and the significance of shared communal meals to queer community than the last week of November. We're taking a pause this week and sharing this food episode from earlier this year! No, "Queer Cuisine" is not a euphemism. Chef Kat Mciver joins us and we contemplate the idea that food may mean something special to us as queer people and try to name what makes something "Queer Cuisine." She also helps us unpack our personal (and incredibly different) journeys with food, shares about being a queer woman in toxic kitchen culture, and enlightens us on her cooking philosophy of "waste not, want not" aka using every part of a plant or animal in your cooking (think carrot tops, radish greens and pea tendrils).
