Not many people have tried to cover the one and only, undisputed King of Pop Michael Jackson. Those that have usally find themselves trying to top something that is already perfect. A funny thing happened to the band Alien Ant Farm: they didn't set out to top Michael Jackson and they didn't even want to have their cover be the focal point of their career.
Born from playing a few riffs at shows, the Alien Ant Farm cover of the Michael Jackson classic "Smooth Criminal" went on to be what they're best known for. It was an enormous hit for Michael Jackson himself, finding it's way into all of his tours after it's release.
