On Tuesday, Coinbase announced that it will be dropping support for four major cryptoassets - XRP, XLM, ETC, and BCH - from 1 January 2023 due to low usage. This news comes at a difficult time for Coinbase, whose shares have dropped by around 80% this year. The dispute between Coinbase and Apple arises from the latter's 30% cut from every App store transaction. very recently, Apple took strong steps against Twitter by completely shutting down its advertising activities on the platform. Coinbase first announced it would be adding support for NFTs to its self-custody wallet in December 2021, giving users access through the app to marketplaces like OpenSea. On Nov. 29, the app said it would suspend support for Bitcoin Cash (BCH), XRP (XRP), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Stellar Lumen (XLM), citing low usage.
