We welcome former QPR, Portsmouth and Southampton midfielder, Nigel Quashie, onto the podcast this week. Nigel made 96 Premier League appearances, and played 14 times for Scotland in a career that saw him play under some of the game's top Managers, including Ray Wilkins, Harry Redknapp, Tony Pulis and Bryan Robson. Nigel transitioned into coaching when he retired from professional football and now runs a youth football academy in Birmingham, and has several business interests. Danny is joined by former Blackpool, Leeds United and most recently Sunderland manager, Simon Grayson. Simon enjoyed a career as a professional footballer playing for some of England’s top clubs including Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers. But he’s most recognized for his time spent at Leicester City as a player, in the early 90s, and then as Manager of Leeds United, from 2008 to 2012. Simon recently featured in the Netflix documentary, Sunderland Til I die, a fly-on-the-wall series about Sunderland’s first season in the Championship, following relegation from the Premier League. Aidy Boothroyd is the current England U21 Manager and has previously managed clubs in the Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2. Hunter Maats and Katie O'Brien are co-authors of 'The Straight A Conspiracy', a book which explores how kids 'learn how to learn'. Both Harvard graduates, Hunter and Katie have lived and worked across Los Angeles, New York, London and Oxford and racked up thousands of hours of high-level tutoring.
