💙🤝❤️ Clinton County’s Republican and Democrat Committee Presidents joined the podcast to discuss Ohio Issue 1… Maybe you can relate to our journey on this issue: 1. We DIDN’T CARE (because we have other things in our lives to worry about) 😅 2. We CARED TOO MUCH (after reading our own political party’s propaganda) 🤬 3. We were EDUCATED about the three major systems states use across the nation to draw legislative districts maps 🧐 4. We were HUMBLED by the fact that Ohio’s current “politician commission” and proposed “non-politician commission” are both used by less than ~16% of states. 🫣 5. We were EMPOWERED to see the merits of the other political party’s side and feel comfortable that things will be okay whatever happens on November 5. 😇 💙🤝❤️ We hope this podcast episode not only gives you more information on Ohio Issue 1, but also gives you a greater sense of pride in our community after hearing Clinton County’s opposing political leaders come together for a respectful and lighthearted conversation that was marked by both an equal exchange of perspectives and a consideration of creative solutions! Let’s make America civil again! 😎🤙🇺🇸 Special thanks to our sponsor, Fiesta Veracruz, for helping keep our podcast, newspaper, and other resources free to our community. We love interviewing local farmers who have a passion for sharing their AG experience with our community! Father and Daughter-In-Law Butch and Bethany Schappacher with Schappacher Farms join the podcast to share how they started and grew a hobby pumpkin farm in Mason, Ohio, and then retired for two years, just to start again from scratch after driving by an old horse barn that was for sale in Wilmington and “having a vision”. For us, trying to understand WHY Greg Pitzer and Darrell Perry continue to pursuit a sense of peace and justice for the death of Greg’s daughter, Casey Pitzer, has been like trying to drink from a “fire hose” of information and emotions… So, to simply help our community (and ourselves) understand the story (and logic) behind the “spectacle” online and at City Council meetings, Greg and Darrell join the podcast to share THEIR SIDE (this is not “investigative journalism”) in a calm and coherent way—meaning without any yelling, accusations, or litigation. We believe that while it’s fun to talk about topics that are positive by their nature, in order to see “real change” in our community, we must have the character, courage, and humility to engage difficult topics in a way that is positive, constructive, and lighthearted. Here is a preview of our interview outline… 1. Who are Greg Pitzer and Derrell Petrey? 2. What evidence do they claim have for sure about the night Casey Pitzer passed away? 3. What evidence they claim is missing or confusing about the night Casey passed? 4. What is Greg's current theory of what happened the night Casey passed away? 5. Why the aggression and character accusations at City Council meetings? 6. What it their plan all along to sue the City for $300,000 over "free speech" violations? 7. What information and action would give Greg a sense of peace and justice?
