Alex tells us about life at Craigroyston back then, the clog 'infestation', the moustaches and the camaraderie of the staff room. His career highlight as eventual Head Teacher of James Gillespies High School (including his initial reception) as well as his South African project. Our usual Ailments, football (Garry educates us as to when the Scottish League started to go wrong with polarisation rife in 1969) and TV/Cinema chat is all in there too.…

Send us a text On a freezing afternoon in Edinburgh, your intrepid podcasters sought out solace with some real ale and it took 5 attempts to get into a good pub in Edinburgh's New Town. Our original choice (The Cumberland Bar) didn't open - like other pubs post-covid - until late in the afternoon....so Kays Bar it is. (Great pub, fantastic, consistently high quality beers!) Good sound in this one, some new Ailments were discovered and exchanged, but our combined mental health remains good. Gary returns from Chicago specially to make this podcast - we briefly discuss Hearts and choose our top and not so top pub visits over the past 2+ years of AA&A. Enjoy!…
