“That's taxpayer’s money that is going to support research and development and pilot projects to develop a food system that is based on environmental destruction and greed and disregard for animals, fish, and any of the other marine mammals that might be around it.” - Andrianna Natsoulas Andrianna Natsoulas is the campaign director for Don't Cage Our Oceans, an organization that exists to keep our oceans free from industrial fish farms. Offshore finfish farming is the mass cultivation of finfish in marine waters, in underwater or floating net pens, pods, and cages. Offshore finfish farms are factory farms that harm public health, the environment, and local communities and economies that rely on the ocean and its resources. Don’t Cage Our Oceans are a coalition of diverse organizations working together to stop the development of offshore finfish farming in the United States through federal law, policies, and coalition building. And, although it is not yet happening, right now the US Administration and Congress are promoting this kind of farming, which would be nothing short of disastrous for the oceans, the planet and the people and animals who live here. dontcageouroceans.org…

×Episode details: injoyliving.ca/lessons-in-the-wrong-direction Imagine how easy life could be if we just allowed ourselves to flow with our intuition? Every day we are being guided internally to make decisions, take a certain direction, change directions and make changes. The information is there and it's clear but we tend to not hear it or ignore it because it feels scary. 🤯 What if this doesn't work out? 🤯 What if I make a mistake? 🤯 What if it's scary and messy? 🤯 What if I feel even worse? These questions end up stagnating our growth because constantly worrying if we are going the right way, will never lead us where we're meant to be. What I've learned is that my most important decisions felt like the wrong ones in the moment. Most of the risks I've taken have had less than 0 guarantees. Almost every time I've followed my gut I've been scared out of my mind. BUT!! Every single time these decisions have brought me to where I was meant to go next, helped me grow exactly how I needed to and landed me in a much better place. This has been my philosophy for as long as I can remember: "The Actions You Are Not Willing To Take or The Decisions You Are Not Willing To Make, Are The Ones That Will Change Your Life!" When was the last time you let yourself get bored? I mean to just sit in blank space, let your imagination run free and wait for inspiration to hit...As I thought about this this morning nostalgia took over me. I was pulled back into my childhood in moments when I would get bored. It's when I would sit in that boredom that I would get hit with a wave of inspiration or creativity and then go out into the world and experiment with my ideas. It was SO fun and refreshing. No we are ALWAYS filling space with our phones, tablets, work, computers and so on. As soon as we have nothing to do we pick up our phones (guilty ☝🏽). Try to remember a time when we had no phones...what would you do when you were bored? We underestimate the power of space as we become adults. We don't realize how much creativity we have inside of us just waiting to come out (if we would only create enough space for it to emmerge). This morning I was sitting on my back porch as the rain was getting ready to pour down with a book in one hand, coffee in the other and I was inhaling so much of life around me. It was exquisite!!! Try it and get to know a whole part of yourself that you might not have even discovered yet...the deeper layers of yourself that can be accessed in the white space you create. The book I'm reading that inspired this podcast is called "Essentialism" by Greg McKeowen. Take a peek here 📲 www.instagram.com/p/CEOt9UWn1uN/ INJOY the podcast! Where are the control freaks??? Come one...raise your hand 🙋🏼♀️ Clarity is unfortunately not something we can force or control in any way and when we try to do that, we manipulate life in a way that is not meant to be. Clarity has its own schedule for arrival...its own divine timing and the more we can trust that, the easier we will flow with life. We can't do better than what life has planned for us. There is a process to everything in your life that you need to trust. If you don't have the answers now it's because you're not meant to have them. They will come when it's time for you to take action. But here's the thing, this clarity will be hard to decifer if you don't get quiet enough to hear its wisdom. Slowing down and creating space in your day is the one thing you CAN control that will help you hear and see things clearly. INJOY the podcast! When did we forget that we are all human? Fame is something that I chased for a large part of my life but I've come to see how gloriLESS it actually is. We forget the pressure, obligations and perfectionnism that is asked of people like Ellen. Chelsea Handler talks about how bottomless fame can become in her book "Life will be the death of me". Zach Effron talks about how he really feels about Hollywood in his docu-series "Down to Earth" on Netflix. Fame really isn't that glorious! I truly doubt that Ellen had any intention of harming anyone. I think she was just expressing some very human emotions on days where she might have been exhausted. She is being asked everyday to show up and make us all happy. I wonder if anyone ever though of how heavy that responsibility must feel? So I think we need to give her a bit of grace. And I also think we need to redefine what kind of success we really want and WHY. The why behind where we are choosing to put our energy is so so important. Life is asking us to look deeper right now. Everything that is not longer sustainable for our health and happiness is currently crashing. We all need a rebirth and I think right now, this crash for Ellen is a gift in disguise. She deserves a little break and maybe life is just giving her the opportunity to rest and make herself happy for once! I hope this podcast inspires you to choose joy! We are in a constant experience of duality in our life. Experiencing the light and the dark, beautiful and challenging moments, flow and messiness! In order to grow and experience life at a deeper level, we need the challenges, the hard and dark times. I always say that breakthroughs happen in breakdowns! I think we all have the choice to live our life on the surface or to dive deep but in order to do that we need to be able to find grace in the dualities we experience AND learn to be resilient. I truly hope that this episode will inspire you to dive DEEP and use both light and dark times to your advantage to access a layer of life that will allow you to Injoy Living in a whole new way!…
INJOY: https://www.injoyliving.ca/how-you-dooinnnn-as-joey-would-say Every day during this Pandemic I wake up wondering how my people are doing. We are all experiencing this so differently. For some it's scary, for others it's expansive and many are experiencing anxiety. Whatever is happening now just embrace it and know that this too shall pass and we are all here to support each other. I hope my words will inspire you to use this moment as an opportunity.…
To celebrate the 100th episode, I’m excited to tell you that I have interviewed Beth Kempton (https://bethkempton.com) author of Wabi Sabi: Japanese Wisdom for a Perfectly Imperfect Life and Calm Christmas and Happy New Year, my two recent favourite books! Beth is from England. She’s a mama, writer, speaker, entrepreneur and Japanologist and let me tell you that learning from her or being inspired by her in any way lights a fire inside to truly INJOY LIVING at a deeper level. The story of how she found her passion is so hilariously random and at the same time so exciting and inspiring! She literally has the most deeply inspiring Instagram feed I’ve ever followed. The love for her work and her kind generous heart is infused in the value of what she puts out into the world. And if you are craving a calm and peaceful Christmas, I strongly recommend ordering her new book Calm Christmas and Happy New Year and snuggle up with a blanket over the next month or so. It’s a magical book. This episode should leave you inspired to live more simply, joyfully and with passion. INJOY...here’s Beth! https://www.injoyliving.ca/beth-kempton…
