With training camps kicking off this week and the first pre-season game coming up on Sunday, there was plenty to talk about on the latest episode of Oilersnation Radio.

Kicking off the podcast, we got started with a delicious debate about the biggest storylines coming into Oilers training camp. Whether it's Mattias Ekholm and Ryan McLeod being out to start camp, the players that are fighting for jobs, or who is going to win this year's Ty Rattie Award, there are a handful of stories that Oilers fans will be watching even though they aren't nearly as sexy as they used to be. From there, we walked through Michael Parkatti's hiring as the new Senior Director of Data and Analytics and whether the Oilers will actually use the service as a tool of evaluation. We also touched on the latest episode of the Mitts Off Podcast where Tyson Barrie spoke about the trade that sent him to Nashville and how it was disappointing to move on from a team with Stanley Cup aspirations. Lastly, we wrapped up this week's podcast with another edition of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold Performers to cap it all off.
