Today's guest is none other than the multi-talented and award-winning #1 New York Times bestselling author of several thrillers, PLUS one of the nicest dudes walking the planet: Mark Greaney!

He's written SEVEN Tom Clancy thrillers, ELEVEN Gray Man Novels...coming soon to Netflix and starring Ryan Gosling, one stand-alone, and has more recently turned one of his attempts at screenplay writing into, not only an audiobook, but "reverse-engineered" that same property into what will most certainly become ANOTHER best-seller called ARMORED.

Mark joins me today to talk about a bevy of bodacious books in a brilliant career of behemoth adventures. And one of my favorite things about Mark is his level-headed approach to the BUSINESS of writing-which you'll enjoy in this show, but also the kindness with which he approaches each and every podcast.

Yes, Mark's been on my show before, but as you'll see and hear again today, he shares the same enthusiasm for his craft, each time he tells a story, as though it's the very first time.

Take the hour to listen to this podcast, despite the less-than-ordinarily-spectacular audio, and enjoy hearing about a career that, while is still rather young, shows NO signs of slowing down.

Mentioned in this episode:

Nothing beats the fresh roasted taste of Writer's Block Coffee.

When you're ready to say goodbye to Ho-hum coffee, and discover what real coffee tastes like, you'll be thrilled with Writer's Block Coffee, our latest sponsor of The Thriller Zone. Why choose Writer's Block Coffee? It's simple: They use a "natural process" which means the way the coffee cherries are harvested uses much less water than the big brands. This benefits the environment and the economic/political stability of the places coffee is grown, such as Ethiopia, in the case of their flagship Writer's Block Coffee. Secondly, all coffee is "specialty grade," scoring in the 80s (scale goes from 0–100), which means their beans are in the Top 5% in the world in terms of quality. Third: They donate a percentage of profits to "First Book," a non-profit that supports literacy with kids; a good cause that helps build the next generation of readers. And finally, and perhaps best of all, all their coffee is roasted to order. That means the beans don't sit on a shelf but are roasted & shipped only after you order. Thanks to our sponsors, you can receive have fresh-roasted coffee shipped direct to your home AND get 15% OFF your first order. You can't beat that! Try Writer's Block Coffee today...and thank me later.
